Terms and Conditions
BigAuntie Babysitting Services. Please read these Terms and Conditions before engaging any service.
1. Services provided
- BigAuntie Babysitting Services agrees to provide childcare services at the agreed location specified by the Client.
- Services may be provided as hourly babysitting, monthly babysitting, school-run support, overnight care, live-out care, or live-in care.
- Services only include childcare and child-related responsibilities as outlined in the selected package.
- Babysitters are not responsible for household cleaning, cooking for adults, laundry for adults, running personal errands, or other domestic duties unless previously agreed upon in writing.
- Staff Welfare: BigAuntie strictly prohibits any form of abuse, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or mistreatment of its staff.
- If abuse is reported or observed, BigAuntie reserves the right to immediately withdraw the caregiver without refund.
- Clients are encouraged to report concerns directly to BigAuntie. Appropriate disciplinary procedures will be implemented where necessary.
- BigAuntie reserves the right to replace any caregiver based on operational requirements, performance concerns, emergencies, or client feedback.
2. Payment terms
- All payments must be made upfront before the commencement of service.
- Monthly services must be renewed before the expiration date to avoid service interruption.
- Failure to renew on time may result in caregiver reassignment.

3. Additional charges
- Standard pricing covers up to two (2) children.
- 30% increase for twin care.
- Additional charges apply for more than two children.
Live-out services
- Every extra 30 minutes: ₦1,000
- Every extra hour: ₦1,500
Additional charges may also apply for:
- Public holidays
- Overnight assignments
- Travel assignments
- Special-needs care requiring additional support
4. Logistics and transportation
- Services shall be provided only at approved locations.
- Any change in work location requiring additional transportation shall be borne by the Client.
For services ending after 8:00 PM, the Client shall either:
- Cover transportation costs; or
- Provide suitable overnight accommodation where applicable.
- Transportation costs incurred during approved child-related outings shall be reimbursed by the Client.
5. Refund and cancellation policy
- Payments become non-refundable once services have commenced.
- Where concerns arise regarding caregiver performance, BigAuntie will investigate and may provide a replacement caregiver where appropriate.
Hourly babysitting cancellation
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service commencement will attract a 40% cancellation fee.
Monthly babysitting and school-run services
- No refunds shall be granted once a service period has commenced.
Live-in services
- Once placement has commenced, fees paid are non-refundable.
- Clients wishing to terminate a live-in placement must provide fourteen (14) days written notice.
- BigAuntie reserves the right to replace caregivers when necessary.
Service termination due to client conduct
No refunds shall be issued where services are terminated due to:
- Abuse or harassment of staff
- Unsafe working conditions
- Non-payment
- Breach of these Terms and Conditions
6. Confidentiality
- All personal information concerning the Client, household, and children shall remain confidential.
- Caregivers shall not disclose confidential information obtained during service.
- Photos, videos, recordings, or social media posts involving children are prohibited without written parental consent.
7. Agreement duration
- The duration of the agreement shall correspond with the selected service package.
- Either party may terminate the agreement in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- Breach of these Terms may result in immediate termination.
- Live-in placements operate on renewable service terms and do not include bodycam services.
8. Governing law
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- Any disputes arising from these services shall be resolved under Nigerian jurisdiction.
9. Non-solicitation of staff
- Clients shall not directly employ, solicit, recruit, engage, or contract any BigAuntie caregiver outside the Company during the service period or within three (3) years following termination of service.
- Where a Client wishes to directly employ a caregiver, written approval must first be obtained from BigAuntie.
- Unauthorized direct employment shall attract a placement fee determined by BigAuntie, with a minimum fee of ₦500,000.
- BigAuntie reserves the right to pursue legal remedies where necessary.
10. Service scope
Caregivers are employed primarily for childcare responsibilities. Child-related duties may include:
- Feeding children
- Bathing children
- Child laundry
- Sterilizing feeding equipment
- School preparation
- Child supervision
- Child developmental activities
The following are excluded unless specifically agreed in writing:
- Cleaning the entire house
- Cooking for adults
- Adult laundry
- Shopping and errands
- Domestic staff supervision
11. Liability
- Clients must provide complete and accurate medical, allergy, and emergency information.
- BigAuntie shall not be liable for accidental damage unless directly caused by proven negligence.
- BigAuntie shall not be liable for incidents arising from undisclosed medical conditions or inaccurate information provided by the Client.
12. Health and safety
- Medication shall only be administered with prior parental authorization.
- Clients must provide written instructions regarding allergies, medical conditions, and special needs.
- In emergencies, caregivers may seek medical assistance and immediately notify the Client.
- Clients must maintain a safe working environment for caregivers.
13. Termination of service
BigAuntie may terminate services immediately where:
- Abuse or harassment occurs
- Unsafe working conditions exist
- Payment obligations are breached
- Material breaches of these Terms occur
Clients may terminate:
- Hourly services with 24 hours notice.
- Live-in placements with 14 days written notice.
Outstanding fees remain payable up to the termination date.
14. Force majeure
BigAuntie shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Public emergencies
- Pandemics
- Transportation disruptions
- Security emergencies
15. Live-in service terms
15.1 Accommodation
- Clients shall provide safe, clean, secure, and reasonably private accommodation for live-in caregivers.
- Suitable sleeping arrangements must be provided throughout the service period.
15.2 Feeding
- Clients shall provide daily meals and access to drinking water throughout the assignment.
15.3 Off days
Clients may choose either of the following arrangements:
Option A — Weekly off day: caregiver leaves Saturday evening and returns Sunday evening.
Option B — Two weekends monthly: caregiver leaves Friday evening and returns Monday morning.
- The selected arrangement shall be agreed upon before service commencement.
- Any alteration to off-day schedules must be approved by both the caregiver and BigAuntie.
15.4 Scope of duties
- Live-in caregivers are engaged primarily for childcare.
- They are not domestic housekeepers and shall not be required to perform duties unrelated to childcare unless expressly agreed upon.
15.5 Privacy and respect
- Clients shall respect caregivers’ personal time and privacy during designated rest periods.
- Caregivers shall also respect the privacy and household rules of the Client.
15.6 Travel assignments
- Where caregivers accompany families on trips, vacations, or relocation assignments, all transportation, accommodation, feeding, visa, and related costs shall be borne by the Client.
- Additional service charges may apply.
15.7 Working hours
- Live-in care does not constitute continuous 24-hour active work.
- Caregivers are entitled to reasonable sleep, rest periods, and agreed off days.
- Clients should communicate schedules and expectations clearly.
16. School run pickup terms
Service overview
School-run services include:
- School pickup
- Child supervision
- Drop-off to approved locations
Pickup and drop-off
- Locations must be agreed upon before service commencement.
- Any changes must be communicated in advance.
After-school care options
Basic service: school pickup and direct drop-off.
Extended care service: child supervision, feeding assistance, bathing assistance, homework support where applicable, and bedtime preparation.
Additional charges
- Extended care services attract additional fees based on duration and care requirements.
Cancellations
- A minimum of 24 hours notice is required.
- No refunds shall be issued after commencement of a paid service period.
Special requirements
- Parents must disclose all allergies, medical conditions, behavioral concerns, and special care needs before service begins.
Confidentiality and safety
- Caregivers are trained in child safety procedures.
- All information provided shall remain confidential.
17. Acceptance of terms
By engaging, booking, paying for, or using any service provided by BigAuntie Babysitting Services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
